Bioinformatics of Signaling Networks

The international graduate program Bioinformatics of Signaling Networks has been implemented to foster our understanding of the mechanisms, regulation and functions of cellular signaling networks. Signaling cascades and their crosstalk direct most cell processes including development, stress acclimation and pathology.
Through close interdisciplinary interaction between bioinformaticians and theoretical life scientists on the one hand and experimental biochemists, molecular biologists and geneticists on the other hand we seek both an optimal integration and exploitation of available data and a deep level theory formation complementary to ongoing experiment-driven projects.
