A brief overview and a glimpse at the user interface:
The
paper
is the most concise description of the overal package. The tour offers insight into the user
interface.

An in-depth understanding of the system, information on installing the system and a tutorial for writing programs with GenDB can be found in the GenDB Wiki.

For software developers the API documentation of all GenDB
CORE modules is available online. You can also read
the POD documentation of each module by using
'perldoc' on the corresponding Perl module.
Some example programs are also listed in the Wiki.

If you encounter errors or inconsistencies you are always
welcome to improve the documentation or report a bug
using the
Bugzilla
bug tracking system.
