5th CeBiTec Symposium "New Frontiers in Microbial Genome Research"
Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF), Bielefeld University, May 3rd – 5th, 2010INVITATIONThe Center for Biotechnology (CeBiTec) of Bielefeld University organizes annual symposia dedicated to cutting-edge research in molecular biotechnology. The 5th CeBiTec symposium which is entitled "New Frontiers in Microbial Genome Research" will be held at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) of Bielefeld University from May 3rd to 5th, 2010. The major objective of the symposium is to present the current state-of-the-art in microbial genome research. In particular, the progress achieved in the framework of the German-wide GenoMik-Plus network "Functional Genome Research on Bacteria Relevant for Agriculture, Environment and Biotechnology" will be presented. The symposium focusses on:
- New developments in ultrafast sequencing technologies including company presentations
- Bioinformatics handling of large data-sets
- Genome and post-genome research on microbes of environmental, medical as well as biotechnological relevance
- Metagenomics
- Regulatory networks
Your are cordially invited to attend the conference. You also may actively participate in the symposium by presenting your work in poster sessions. The symposium will include a special session for oral presentations of young researchers. Talks will be selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. The conference flyer can be found here. Please follow this link to get directly to the ONLINE REGISTRATION. Programme
