The PacBio Sequel instrument builds on the success of the previous RSII - providing higher throughputs of our established high accuracy, long read SMRT sequencing technology. Alongside the benefits SMRT delivers for de novo sequencing and assembly and transcriptome mapping we have focused on using long reads to address structural variation scanning in populations allowing the interrogation and discovery of potentially causal genetic variations beyond simply mapping SNPs.
