Equal Opportunities at the CeBiTec

With all personnel being delegated, the CeBiTec itself does not have employees of its own and therefore no equal opportunity office. Nevertheless, the topic is of course of great importance and always present in our meetings and discussions.

Early Career Female Scientist Seminar

In 2023 we have founded the Early Career Female Scientist Seminar (ECFS) to highlight the contributions of talented women in the early stages of their careers in life science research. During the seminar, the guest speaker presents her research and outlines her career path. Following the seminar, a networking event allows students and early career scientists of all genders to engage with the invited guest, facilitating informal discussions on the challenges faced in academia, the status of women in science, and strategies for navigating professional paths.

The goal of the seminar series is to enhance the visibility of female scientists, promote their professional development, and foster new collaboration opportunities. It also aims to inspire young scientists, especially women, to pursue careers in science by offering role models and a platform for networking, discussions, and the exchange of diverse perspectives. Upcoming and past events can be found on the seminar series webpage in the Events section.
