The research activities of the CeBiTec currently belong to the main research areas “Large Scale Genomics and Big Data Bioinformatics” and “Metabolic Engineering of Unicellular Systems and Bioproduction”. The research projects can be considered as applied biotechnological research projects or do show potential for later application. This research, however, aims to achieve proof-of-principles, but we do not directly develop commercial products and processes.
