title

Mate pair mapping using ClustDB

Mapping large sets of mate pairs contributes significantly to nearly all fields of biological and medical research but still poses problems in speed, sensitivity and reliability of the conclusions drawn.
We present a new function of our program ClustDB that efficiently collects potential match positions of mate pairs, derives verification intervals and uses a modified version of Myer’s bit-vector algorithm to report all mate pair matches with a maximum number or errors including gaps. This software is about 3 times faster, more correct, less memory demanding than the program RazerS.
