The Technology Platform Fermentation consists of two groups. The special interest of the Fermentation group is the optimisation of the cultivation of microorganisms and cell cultures as well as biocatalytic reactions in a broad spectrum of bioreactor systems and setups. The BioEnergieTechnikum (BET) is a technical center for bioenergy research. The infrastructure allows interdisciplinary research projects to be conducted and scaled-up to a technically relevant size.
